Foster families are needed at Husky Haven Sanctuary

At Husky Haven Sanctuary, we understand how important it is for dogs to have a loving home and we strive to provide just that. Unfortunately, we don't have a physical rescue shelter location at the moment, and as such, we rely entirely on the kindness and generosity of foster homes to care for the dogs who need us the most. We know that it's not easy to take in these furry friends, but with your help, we can give them the love, care, and attention they deserve.

What is involved in fostering?

Fostering a dog can be a wonderful way to help a furry friend in need. It's like welcoming a new family member, without the long-term commitment. As a foster family, you'll be responsible for providing the love, care, and training that the dog needs to thrive. It's a truly rewarding experience that can make a big difference in a dog's life. plenty of love and snuggles. The foster family also gets to know the dog's personality and quirks to help match it with the best home.  We also ask the foster family to take their foster dog to events or arrange for another volunteer to do so.

Thanks to the kindness of our generous donors, Husky Haven Sanctuary covers all the expenses associated with the freedom ride for our furry friends out of animal shelters. This includes temporary boarding, a fi-collar + subscription for the duration of their stay at the boarding and foster families, and even a temporary fi-collar subscription once they find their forever homes. It's hard to predict how long a dog will stay in foster care before being adopted, but we do our best to ensure they find loving homes as soon as possible.
